Don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.                Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.                Consider the ravens: they don't sow, they don't reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!                Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?                If then you aren't able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?                Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.                But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?                Don't seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.                For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.                But seek God's Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.

Entrusted to Mary

By Agnes,
Love One Another 12/2009→ A testimony

Only by maturing patiently and uniting myself with the will of God shall I one day know a truly successful, lasting, and sincere marriage based on mutual trust, service, and self-giving.

Being a child of alcoholic parents, I have not had the best example of marriage. The prospect of intimacy and spending the rest of my life with a beloved spouse fills me with great fear and trepidation. I am writing this testimony not just for myself but for the benefit of all lonely people, who owing to various injuries and traumatic childhood experiences are unable to establish a family or, fearing to do so, are forced to wait for marriage, while working patiently on themselves. I wish to use this time of waiting in the most profitable way. That is why I have joined the Movement of Pure Hearts. The fact that I have not yet found a husband saddens me, and I often ask myself why I cannot experience the joy of family life and motherhood? But though I feel very lonely, I do not despair. I know it is only by maturing patiently and uniting myself with the will of God that I will one day know a truly successful, lasting, and sincere marriage based on mutual trust, service, and self-giving.

For me MPH is a marvelous community of souls to which Jesus Himself — the model of purity and goodness — has called me. I feel that He wants me to fulfill myself as a woman, a wife, and a mother. The blessings that flow from saving sex for marriage are obvious to me. It is not easy, but it is possible. In this Mary helps me a great deal. After the example of Servant of God John Paul II, I have entrusted to Our Blessed Mother my future life as a wife and mother. During this recent walking pilgrimage to Our Lady of Czestochowa, I offered up my prayers for the intention of finding a good husband.

I have no doubt that the happiest and most beautiful day of my life will eventually come: the day when I stand before Jesus to pledge my love and fidelity to my dearest husband.
