And if thy hand cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life maimed, rather than having thy two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire.                where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.                And if thy foot cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life halt, rather than having thy two feet to be cast into hell, where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.                And if thine eye cause thee to stumble, cast it out: it is good for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell;                where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

The Movement of Pure Hearts

No situation is hopeless for Christ, there is no enslavement from which He could not set us free. Jesus raises us from the biggest of falls, releases us from the strongest shackles of evil, cures all the diseases of the spirit. You just have to trust Him completely.

The Movement of Pure Hearts (2017-40)

Liberal media encourage us – or even urge us – to use pornography, to live together without marriage, to marital infidelity and divorce, to homosexuality, masturbation, petting, contraception, and of course – abortion. They deride the teachings of the Catholic Church, scoff at people who fight for their purity and try to live according to the teachings of Christ. Their way of thinking and evaluating is a return to the pagan barbarism of the Roman empire. What was most amazing for the ancient pagans was that Christians completely rejected their way of thinking and behavior in the sexual realm, that is, all that was widely accepted and practiced by the pagans.

Christ teaches us that the sphere of human sexuality is sanctified, where God is present in a special way, He who created man as male and female (Gen 1:27).

In the plans of God, the unity of man and woman should reflect the invisible mystery of the love of God (1 John 4:8) and be an image of the unity and love of the Holy Trinity. In the sacrament of marriage, Christ consecrates a man and a woman, makes them husband and wife for each other, uniting them with unbreakable bonds. Jesus says: “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” (Matt 19:6). God reveals to us that the most intimate union of man and woman in sexual intercourse should take place only in sacramental marriage, because – according to God’s intentions – sexual intercourse is to be a sign of this sacrament, participation in the life and love of God in the Holy Trinity.

In this context, it is clear that every conscious and voluntary sexual activity outside of the sacrament of marriage – cohabitation before marriage, adultery, masturbation and others – is a mortal sin. Jesus teaches us that the sins of impurity belong to the heaviest category, because they destroy love, lead to addiction to sexual experiences and lead to an absolute selfishness, which is to hell. Paul urges: “Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Cor 6:9-10) In other passages of Scripture, we read: “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from fornication; that each one of you know how to control your own body in holiness and honor, not with lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one wrong or exploit a brother or sister in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, just as we have already told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. For God did not call us to impurity, but to holiness. Therefore whoever rejects this rejects not human authority but God, who also gives his Holy Spirit to you.” (1 Thess 4:3-8).

No situation is hopeless for Christ, there is no enslavement from which He could not set us free. Jesus raises us from the biggest falls, releases us from the strongest shackles of evil, cures all the diseases of the spirit. You just have to trust Him totally, and allow Him to transform us through daily prayer and Eucharist. Jesus says: “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” (Matt 9:12). It is therefore necessary, with all the baggage of sins, the tendency to evil and weakness, yet with childlike trust “to throw yourself into the arms of the Father” who takes away all sins in the sacrament of penance, and heals and fills with love and peace in the Eucharist and in daily prayer. Prayer is to be a complete opening of the heart to the healing love of Jesus, giving Him all your worries and problems, listening to what He says to us. St. Alphonsus de Liguori writes that “he who prays is certain to be saved: while he who prays not is certain to be damned.” Therefore never be tempted to neglect prayer. It is as essential to spiritual life as breathing and food are for the life of the body. Remember, healing and spiritual transformation requires time, serenity, great patience, perseverance and total trust in Christ. We cannot do anything on our own, without Jesus.

Never get discouraged, but after every heavy fall go immediately to Jesus who is waiting for you in the sacrament of penance, to set you free from the slavery of sin. Victory is possible only in union with Christ. Remember what Jesus says: “I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). Constantly learn humility, that is the truth, that you on your own, without Jesus, will not be able to deal with sins and addictions. Saint Mary of Jesus Crucified writes: “In hell, there are all kinds of virtues, but there is no humility. Holiness is not prayer, neither is it visions or revelations, nor the science of speaking well, nor the cilice, nor penance, but humility. God seats himself in the heart of the righteous and humble. […] The humble heart is the vessel, the chalice that holds God. A humble soul, truly humble, will perform more signs than the ancient prophets.” You commit the sin of pride when you neglect prayer, and having sinned you don’t go immediately to confession. You commit the sin of pride when you give up the fight for a pure heart. “For the beginning of pride is sin, and the one who clings to it pours out abominations.” (Sir 10:13).

The Lord Jesus invites you to the community of the Movement of Pure Hearts to teach you humility and love, to heal your wounded heart in “the clinic of pure hearts.” Do not be afraid to take up this unique adventure of maturing to love together with Jesus. Christ wants only one thing: that you trust Him completely, and let Him lead you through life. For your part, you need to discipline and organize your daily activities in such a way that prayer and a diligent attitude to duties are in the first place. To do this, write out a daily schedule where you designate specific times for prayer, work and rest. Restore your strength during a 7-8-hour sleep, go to bed early and get up early. Do not forget about the daily practice of sport or another form of outdoor activity, because it is the best way to rest. Learn solidly and systematically, use your time well, don’t waste it, because it is a great gift from God. To become a member of the Movement of Pure Hearts, first go to the sacrament of penance, and after receiving Holy Communion give your whole self to Him with the words of the Prayer of entrustment.

Never be tempted to neglect prayer. It is as essential to spiritual life as breathing and food are for the life of the body

Every morning pray the words of this prayer, to remind yourself of your commitment and to implement it in your life, never get discouraged and rise from every fall through the holy confession. Inform our editorial team about the great event of your joining MPH, so we can put your name in the Book of Pure Hearts and send you a special blessing.

Jesus really wants you to write and send your testimonies to our magazine, to share the treasure of faith and help others make the decision of entrusting themselves to Christ and embark on the path of maturing to love. Every day in our office we pray in your intentions – at 7 am the rosary, and at 3 pm the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Let’s remember one another in our daily prayer and let’s support one another on the way to heaven.
