And if thy hand cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life maimed, rather than having thy two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire.                where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.                And if thy foot cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life halt, rather than having thy two feet to be cast into hell, where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.                And if thine eye cause thee to stumble, cast it out: it is good for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell;                where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

I am hidden in the Host

Alicja Lenczewska

In the previous issues of Love One Another!, we presented Alicja Lenczewska (1934-2012), a retired teacher who had a rich inner life. The spiritual diary she had left behind was examined by a theological commission, at the request of Msgr. Andrzej Dzięga, and was found consistent with Church teaching. Below, we quote Jesus’ message concerning the Eucharist given to Alicja Lenczewska.

I am hidden in the Host

What is the Eucharist?

† The entire Eucharist is a thanksgiving. I have established it among others so that you may offer thanks; so that by participating in it you develop an attitude of thanksgiving yourselves. Your whole life should be imbued with thanksgiving and gratitude. It is in this spirit that you should talk to me and address me.

Everything, whatever you may have and whoever you are, is a gift of Love from me. Absolutely everything.

And in spite of your mutinies and ingratitude, I continue to love you, await your return and make an unceasing Sacrifice of myself to rescue you. The Sacrifice is eternal, because it lasts and takes place all the time. This is an extra-temporal and supra-temporal Sacrifice. You live in it, and breathe it. It rescues you in every moment of your life.

During Mass, I make a Sacrifice of myself for you and at the same time I come to you first in order to make you willing to invite me to your life

Try to learn the Truth about me, thirst for it. With the learning, gratitude will grow in you. Ingratitude is also the fruit of ignorance. If you knew if only a particle of the Truth and were able to penetrate it, each of you would weep because of your own ingratitude.

What is going on during Mass?

† During Mass, I make a Sacrifice of myself for you and at the same time I come to you first in order to make you willing to invite me to your life. In your souls, I make a Sacrifice for you; when you receive Holy Communion, I make a Sacrifice of myself in the soul of any person who comes and receives my Body. What should your answer be? – Give thanks and offer yourself to me. I have given up everything to you and expect the same of you.

This is the value of Communion – a meeting to offer oneself to each other: I and you. This is also a model of meetings between you and other people: offering oneself to each other and receive each other in love, gratitude and forgiveness. As I receive you in Love and forgiveness. Communion is a model of attitude towards another man. At the same time, it is a gift of Love which can be reciprocated only by gratitude and love. A covenant of Love.

Why does God offer himself to man in Holy Communion?

† Communion is a model of attitude towards another person. At the same time, it is a gift of Love which can be reciprocated only by gratitude and love.

I wanted to share Love – to give and to receive. To receive in a heartfelt manner, voluntarily and selflessly. Such love can be given to me only by man – a being free in his or her decision, because s/he has not fully realized or experienced the immensity of my beauty and Love and the happiness of life with me and in me. I hide myself so as not to overwhelm you with the magnificence of my gift. I wish for you happiness that no man can imagine or sense.

Communion is a model of attitude towards another man. At the same time, it is a gift of Love which can be reciprocated only by gratitude and love

The entire history of mankind and of every person is conducted by me in such a way so as to prepare you for unifying with me in eternity. Now, you may come in contact with me in prayer and meditation over my life, the Word and signs I have been giving you. The most meaningful sign is my presence in the Eucharist. I am hidden in the Host and by consuming it, the soul meets me, alive and true, though hidden from the mind and bodily senses.

What is the Host?

† To the people who believe in me, I have given a sign to make it easier for them to meet me. In this sign I am, I come when they call me. They must believe, though they cannot see. Though I hide myself under the species of a wafer and wine.

– Why?

† The test of life is founded on faith. You must trust my Word, although the eye does not see and the ear does not hear. Faith must be greater than the capabilities of the body and senses. It must surpass them, then it really is faith. You can build on such faith.

Moreover, you must resign from human smallness, imperfection and ineptitude. The body imposes limitations: it prevents a person from noticing and learning the Truth. The Truth can be revealed only by me through my grace. The greater the trust, the more grace. The Truth can be reached with the mind, and even better with the heart. When you desire it and trust me, I will come and open the eyes of your soul. Then you will come to know it and your heart will be enraptured.

What happens during transubstantiation?

† I come surrounded by angels, in the glory of my Father and offer up my Body on the sacrificial altar. As I announced during the last supper and as I did on Golgotha.

I offer it up in the presence of people and I desire that together with my Sacrifice they offer up their hearts – their fate – on the altar.

I wish I were not alone there as I was on Golgotha. So often, they stand and watch. So often, the priest tears apart my Body with the indifference of the Roman soldier who nailed me to the cross. Tell them not to inflict pain on me with their indifference; to touch me with their sight and their hands more delicately and with greater understanding. I continue to give myself up for them on the Golgotha of altars. I see and sense all this.

What is Holy Communion?

Adoration I offer the Father in your heart, in your soul. You should consciously participate in this adoration, you should join your sacrifice with mine. With all your might and with all your strength. Communion taken in this way is a community with me in the Sacrifice and Adoration of God the Father – it transforms the soul and gives me strength.

What attitude should be taken during Holy Communion?

† You can come to know me and touch me with a loving and trustful heart – the heart of a child. The greater faith and love, the unification with me stronger and knowledge of me deeper.

Beware of a thoughtless and indifferent receiving of me in Holy Communion. This is a great sin and profanation of my Love and my Gift born in the Blood of Golgotha.

My Child, how much I must hide myself so as not to burn your soul with the fire of my Love and kill your body with the might of my fatherly tenderness. But I love so much and want to be loved.

Beware of a thoughtless and indifferent receiving of me in Holy Communion. This is a great sin and profanation of my Love and my Gift born in the Blood of Golgotha

Do not care about the priest who offers my Sacrifice. Do not observe him, do not evaluate him. Do not choose the Sacrifice offered by your favorite priest. Do not go there for him. Come only for me – for making a gift of yourself on the altar and accepting my gift in Communion.

Abide with me and be tender. Compensate for the coldness of my chosen ones. On Sundays, I suffer humiliation when my chosen ones touch me with a hardened heart, celebrating the Sacrifice of Mass. Compensate me for their cold and empty spirit that they approach me with. Serve me the sweet chalice of your love to salve the taste of vinegar cupped with bitterness, which many make me drink.

I thirst for the love of my children and I keep crying from the table of sacrifice: I thirst. I thirst for your hearts to fill them with my Love. I thirst for pure hearts so that only my Love is within them.
