And if thy hand cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life maimed, rather than having thy two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire.                where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.                And if thy foot cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life halt, rather than having thy two feet to be cast into hell, where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.                And if thine eye cause thee to stumble, cast it out: it is good for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell;                where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

I said to the priest: “In May, I’m finishing my eleventh spiritual adoption of an unborn child, yet I can’t get the grace for my daughter’s conceived child to be born alive”.

Divine Mercy saved my granddaughter

From the very beginning, the life of my daughter Ewa’s child was in danger. My daughter spent nearly four months almost entirely in hospital due to constant bleeding in the placenta. I asked the Blessed Virgin and Saint Anne for help, entrusting them with this matter.

The situation was so serious that my daughter had to stay in hospital for the Easter holidays. In early April, during confession, I said to the priest: “In May, I’m finishing my eleventh spiritual adoption of an unborn child, yet I can’t get the grace for my daughter’s conceived child to be born alive”. The priest recommended me a prayer to Guardian Angels. At home, I found a set of prayers to Guardian Angels and decided to say them for nine days.

A week before Easter, the medicsstated that my daughter’s placenta had peeled off and contained blood clots. From the human perspective, there was nothing that could be done. I hadn’t yet finished the novena to the Guardian Angels, and on Good Friday I began another series of prayers — to Divine Mercy, before the Feast of Divine Mercy, according to reflections by St Theresa and St Faustina.

My prayers were heard. On the last day of the Novena to Divine Mercy, the day before the Feast of Divine Mercy, the medics discovered that the placenta was in order and there were no traces of blood. On the same day, my daughter left the hospital and did not return there until the end of her pregnancy. On 6 September, her beautiful daughter Teresa was born.

From the human perspective, there was nothing that could be done. I hadn’t yet finished the novena to the Guardian Angels, and on Good Friday I began another series of prayers — to Divine Mercy

Thanks be to God for His infinite mercy! This is what the Lord Jesus said about the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and about how this prayer opens up our hearts for God’s action: “Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope for salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy. I desire that the whole world know My infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy” (St Faustina’s Diary, p. 687).

I want to thank also the Immaculate St Anne and the Guardian Angels for their intercession and help in this matter.

Jerzy
