Don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.                Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.                Consider the ravens: they don't sow, they don't reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!                Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?                If then you aren't able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?                Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.                But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?                Don't seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.                For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.                But seek God's Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.

Love One Another!

More and more courageous young people are choosing to embrace the struggle for authentic love. They are entrusting themselves to Jesus, the source of all Love, by joining the Movement of Pure Hearts. The following are excerpts from a few of the letters sent to us by our readers.

Eveline & Peter:

“Even before our paths crossed, we both knew we wanted to offer ourselves to our future spouse on our wedding day. From the beginning of our relationship we wanted to be close to God and remain chaste. It was not easy, and overcoming temptation frequently required a great deal of willpower. We both knew we could only obtain this from our Father–God, and that is why we joined MPH. We included the Prayer of Pure Hearts in our daily prayers for each other. At first we were afraid we would not be able to keep our pledges, but now we see that with the Father’s help, we really do have the strength of will to fend off daily temptations and not to succumb to what today’s world is trying to put into our heads.

This is not easy, but it strengthens our relationship; it makes our love not only a union of bodies, but even more so of hearts and souls.”

Eva:

“I have decided to join MPH, because I want to respect my future husband even now. I wish to be able to look him straight in the eyes and tell him honestly that he has always been the one I was waiting for. Despite everything, I want to go against the current. Please pray for me and send me your special blessing, for I know I am weak and I do not want to pay empty lip service to God. With all my heart I want to put my words into action.”

Peter:

“I am fourteen years old. When I first encountered self-abuse, I had no idea it was a sin. I often fell into this sin. I confessed it for the first time during a recent spiritual retreat. A real change began to take place in my heart a month ago, when I came across a copy of Love One Another Magazine. The personal testimonies moved me the most. I thank God that He is drawing me out of this sin. I find the Prayer of Pure Hearts most helpful. Now I go to confession as soon I fall into this sin. I know that in order for it not to recur, I have to avoid all occasions that lead to it. It is possible. I believe that with God’s help I will win this battle with evil.”
