Don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.                Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.                Consider the ravens: they don't sow, they don't reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!                Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his height?                If then you aren't able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?                Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.                But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?                Don't seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.                For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but your Father knows that you need these things.                But seek God's Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.

Love One Another!

I would like to tell you how I met God, and how He led me onto the right path.

My parents instilled in me the rules of the Christian faith from a very early age. Every Thursday and Sunday, I dutifully served at Mass as an altar boy. At school I received awards for being an excellent student. Then, in the fifth grade, I got into bad company, and after that I was no longer a well-mannered child or an exemplary student, but a hooligan — a so-called “social outcast.”

When I reached for my first cigarette, I had no idea I would go downhill so quickly. Tobacco soon led to alcohol, glue sniffing, amphetamines, marijuana, acid, ecstasy, magic mushrooms, and so on. To make things worse, there was masturbation. I also had some serious run-ins with the police. In grade ten I was offered the chance to take part in a spiritual retreat, and I took it. I experienced a great act of grace from God. I felt the real, living presence of Jesus. That meeting changed my heart. Above all, Jesus freed me from my addiction to drugs. On returning home, I made a clean break with my old company.

At the next retreat, God took away my addiction to cigarettes, and then my addiction to masturbation. Thanks to Him, my life has turned around 180 degrees, and I am ecstatic about it. What makes me happiest is that God has once again made me His knight, who can serve Him at Holy Mass, only now not as His altar boy, but as His guitarist. Praise God!
